A family christmas tradition - can only be served in the famed trifle bowl!
Ingredients
- Two swiss rolls with jam in the roll
- Red, yellow and green jelly
- 1L confectioners custard
- Sherry (if using)
- Whipping cream
- Glace cherries
- Flaked almonds, toasted
Method
- Make the 3 jelly's and put into the fridge to set overnight
- Soak the swiss roles in sherry to taste
- Layer swiss roll, jelly and custard into 3 layers in the trifle bowl
- Add whipped cream to the top layer and sprinkle with glace cherries and toasted flaked almonds (and maybe even chocolate sprinkles!)
